About Lisa
In 1985, Lisa started her automotive career literally “by accident.” She started on the sales floor of the number one dealership in the Nation, Jim Johnson Chevrolet in Dallas Texas. Lisa knows firsthand what it takes to succeed in the auto industry. She worked her way from “newbie” to top sales and management positions in high profile dealerships around the Nation.
After “retiring” from the auto industry in 1997, Lisa founded Austin Mortgage Associates. The sales skills and management style that were learned in the automotive industry gave Lisa the experience she needed to take Austin Mortgage Associates to over a half a billion in mortgage loan originations, ranking her in the top 100 of mortgage originators nationwide from 2001-2005.
Lisa returned to her automotive roots in 2007. Lisa traveled across the Nation training and teaching for top automotive manufacturers and executives, such as Toyota North America and BMW North America. Working successfully with top dealers around the Nation and compiling “best practices” from the most successful organizations in the Country, Lisa developed a 2 week “Automotive Boot Camp” that is an all encompassing training that guarantees success among her trainees. Lisa is excited to return to the Nyle Maxwell Family of Dealerships as Chief Sales Strategist. She spent 8 years working for Mr. Maxwell in positions ranging from finance director and new car manager to used car/inventory manager. Her main responsibilities now include: training and hiring sales staff and sales management, creating and implementing sales and finance processes, creating grass roots marketing events, writing sales strategy, social media domination, creating marketing plans and training seminars that are geared toward capturing and building brand loyalty and increasing market share in both the women’s and millennial market place.
As a leading expert on gender communication, millennial communication and how to sell to women, Lisa advises her students and employees on how to better understand their consumers, supporting them to increase deals closed, improve customer service, build increased market share and gain the loyalty of their hard-earned customers.
Lisa is passionate about her community. She co-founded Women Impacting the Nation, an organization dedicated to raising money for children of fallen soldiers and co-founded The Project 19 Foundation, a 501c3 that is dedicated to helping women advance in leadership roles in all sectors of business and government.
Lisa’s goal is to improve the customer experience at the Nyle Maxwell family of dealerships, and to train their executive team and sales professionals on how to differentiate themselves and enhance their competitive edge and modernize their marketing efforts company-wide. Under Lisa’s leadership, the Nyle Maxwell team is motivated and equipped to capture and retain the financially authoritative women’s and millennial market .
Lisa’s first book will be published by Simon and Shuster and will hit book shelves in February of 2011. The book is titled “Pink Is Not A Strategy” a car dealers guide to market dominance. The book was written to be a guide to auto dealers on how to authentically capture the women’s market and increase market share with the number one consumer in the world.
